David Tan is the Vice President, Managing Director of Southeast Asia at HP Inc. He is responsible for the development and execution of strategies and plans to drive long-term growth and cement HP’s

industry leadership by forging partnerships, creating operational excellence, and building brand trust among consumers and enterprises.

Prior to leading the Southeast Asia business, David served as Head of Channels and Supplies Sales in HP’s Greater Asia market, managing overall channel strategy and execution in Greater Asia, working with retail, online, commercial, services, and supplies partners.

A proven leader with over two decades of experience across different business groups and geographies, David has held a wide range of country and regional management positions at HP, including marketing, category management, and sales - in both Personal Systems and Print.

David brings extensive experience in channel strategy and is passionate about creating brand experiences that delight and inspire customers. As Head of Commercial Channels and Distribution

Sales for HP in Asia Pacific and Japan, David played a pivotal role in establishing the channel managed services go-to-market model that enabled HP’s move from transactional sales to contractual sales.

As Consumer Sales Director, he oversaw the entire HP Printing Consumer go-to-market strategy and established a strong HP foothold and growth in HP’s largest emerging market in Southeast Asia. David has an Executive MBA from the University of Helsinki, as well as postgraduate degrees in Business Management, Economics and Marketing. Based in Singapore, David is a keen traveler and an avid reader.
